Early Treatment

Good oral health starts at an early age. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children be evaluated no later than age seven. Most kids have their adult molars in by age seven, which makes it the perfect time to get an orthodontic evaluation.

Most of the time, they won’t need any treatment at this age, but early identification of developing problems can often prevent future orthodontic problems by:

  • Creating room for adult teeth to erupt naturally
  • Influencing jaw growth to create optimal facial balance and harmony
  • Reducing the likelihood of future tooth extractions
  • Reducing future treatment time
  • Avoiding future surgery
